Depolymerizes actin filaments (F-actin). Potent phagocytosis inhibitor. Anticancer compound. Suppresses hypoxia-induced HIF-1 activation in tumor cells. Inhibits tumor cell invasion. Acts via a different mechanism than cytochalasins.
