Ultra GelRed is a new fluorescent nucleic acid gel staining reagent that can replace ethidium bromide (EB). It has high sensitivity, low toxicity, and strong thermal stability. When using agarose gel electrophoresis to detect DNA, Ultra GelRed shows higher sensitivity to small amounts of DNA, especially small molecular weight DNA. DNA exhibits green fluorescence under ultraviolet light transmission and can be used for staining of dsDNA, ssDNA and RNA in agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.Application: Non-toxic: Ultra GelRed's macromolecular characteristics make it unable to penetrate the cell membrane and enter the cell. The results of the Ames test show that its mutagenicity is far less than EB; High stability: suitable for preparing agarose gel using microwave or other heating methods; Wide range of applications: suitable for agarose gel or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis; can be used for dsDNA, ssDNA and RNA staining

TAE is used to prepare agarose gels and as an electrophoresis running buffer for the separation of double-stranded DNA in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. 50x TAE Buffer is composed of 2 M Tris-Acetate, 0.05 M EDTA, pH 8.3. For agarose gel electrophoresis, 50x TAE Buffer should be diluted to a working concentration of 1x TAE or 0.5x TAE.
