This detergent is also used in washing buffer from .1- .5% in all immunoassays (ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Blot assays and others) to reduce background. Tween 2 or Polysorbate 2 PEG(2) sorbitan monolaurate, lowers surface tension of water.
