Sequential co-culture with BMP-4, PGE2, and StemRegenin 1 leads to robust Macaca nemestrina iPSC hematopoietic progenitor cell formation. Culture of mPB CD34+ cells with cytokines plus StemRegenin 1 increases the number of CD34+, CD133+ and CD90+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell populations compared to control cells. StemRegenin 1 promotes human plasmacytoid and myeloid dendritic cell development from CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells.
