JAK inhibition with ruxolitinib could work as pretreatment for allogeneic stem cell transplantation in myelofibrosis. Ruxolitinib inhibits erythropoiesis from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), but has less inhibitory effect on the self-renewal of CD34+ hematopoietic progenitors.
