H-D-Phe-Pip-Arg-pNA acetate is specific for thrombin and is used to measure antithrombin-heparin cofactor (AT-III). The AT-III assay using H-D-Phe-Pip-Arg-pNA acetate is sensitive, accurate, and easy to perform.
