Anti-TORC1/CRTC1 Mouse mAb
CRTC1, also known as MECT1, TORC1, and WAMTP1, is a member of the TORC family. It acts as a transcriptional coactivator for the
transcription factor CREB1 (cAMP response element binding protein), promoting CREB1-mediated gene transcription. Additionally, CRTC1
serves as a coactivator for TAX activation of the long terminal repeat (LTR) of human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1).Under normal
conditions, the Ser151 residue of CRTC1/TORC1 in mouse hypothalamic cells is highly phosphorylated. However, when these cells are
exposed to cAMP or calcium activating agents, CRTC1/TORC1 undergoes dephosphorylation and translocates to the nucleus to exert its
function.
