KRIBIOLISA Anti-EPO (Erythropoetin) ELISA
ELISA for Accurate Quantitation of Anti-EPO from Human Serum and
Plasma
Erythropoietin (EPO) is a heavily glycosylated protein with a molecular weight of about 30,000 - 34,000 Daltons.
Human EPO is a polypeptide consisting of 166 amino acids, containing one O-linked and three N-linked carbohydrate
chains. The recombinant EPO is a good substitute for the native protein for use in an immunoassay.
About the kit:
- Uses anti-idiotypic antibodies sourced from our vendor partner in the US, which ensures higher specificity, and low cross reactivity.
- Recovery rates are between 85 - 115%
- Ready to use with a standard protocol with break-apart pre-coated wells
- Validated as per US FDA guidelines for Bioassays
- Optimized for matrix effects to ensure higher sensitivity.
- Shelf life: 1 year
The method employs enzyme immunoassay technique. Samples and standards are pipetted into microwell pre-coated
with EPO antigen. After incubation and washing, HRP Conjugate is added to the wells. Anti-EPO present in the sample
and standards will form a complex in the wells. Washing is done to remove the unbound HRP Conjugate. The ready to
use substrate solution (TMB) is added to microwells and color develops directly proportional to the amount of Anti-
EPO present in the standards and sample. Color development is then stopped by addition of stop solution.
Absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
