Human serum albumin

Human serum albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein in plasma, representing the major factor of plasma oncotic pressure. Human serum albumin exhibits antioxidant, anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory and antiplatelet aggregation activity as well as colloid osmotic effect. Human serum albumin is also associated with cardiovascular diseases, serving as an independent prognosticator.
